Part-time: hours may increase to full-time during periods of low coverage Under direct supervision of a physician and/or clinical pharmacist working within a clinic admixture room prepares all medications associated with IV treatments to be administered in outpatient oncology setting. This includes but is not limited to chemotherapy, biologics, growth factors and support medications prescribed. In addition, the technician assists with drug inventory and runs/reviews daily reports of drug utilization, maintains pharmacy environment to OSHA standards, demonstrates safe handling and disposal of chemotherapy. The technician may serve as a resource to clinical and billing staff regarding drug dispensing and preparation. An LPN with Infusion and/or Pharmacy experience will be considered for this role. Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of one year of experience in a pharmacy setting. Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirements preferred. Completion of an ASHP and/or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board accredited program or college-based program highly desired.
