Also, we love to have fun! Position Summary: The Audio Video Technician assists with the maintenance of house lighting, sound, and video boards during events held throughout the district. This role analyzes and resolves difficult and complicated program support deficiencies, provides professional sound and light support for shows and other activities, and sets up, runs, and maintains the sound and light equipment. Key Functions: • Set up and operate stage and broadcast lighting for district events and productions • Set up and operate sound systems for school productions and live broadcasting • Provide field support for the interactive whiteboard fleet and non -touch display systems • Control and maintain fixed AV assets for Information Technology – Client Services • Assist school stagecraft and production staff with setting up sound and light systems • Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and work -order information Minimum Qualifications: Education: • High school diploma or GED equivalent Experience: • Two (2) years’ experience operating complex lighting and sound systems • Proficient in production lighting systems • Proficient in mobile public address systems Licenses and Certifications: • Valid driver’s license Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Working knowledge of job- related computer programs and software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows • Working knowledge of digital sound and light systems • Ability to plan, coordinate, and schedule to complete job requests with limited supervision • Self-starter, highly motivated, with a positive attitude and the ability to relate to management staff, other employees, and the public • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and schedules Responsibilities and Essential Functions: The following duties are representative of performance expectations.
