Position Summary: The Manager of Military Pathways and Postsecondary Engagement supports student success by leading the design and implementation of postsecondary engagement strategies and coordinating military pathway opportunities across Tulsa Public Schools. This role ensures students have access to meaningful college, career, and military exposure experiences and supports JROTC programs through event coordination, partnership development, and program alignment. The manager also partners with elementary through high schoo l site teams to support early exploration experiences related to college, career, and military service options. Key Functions: • Lead and support districtwide JROTC and military pathway programs • Coordinate postsecondary engagement events and student recognition experiences • Develop partnerships that expand student access to college, career, and military opportunities • Support student and family awareness of postsecondary pathways from elementary through high school • Analyze participation and outcome data to improve programs and increase student engagement Minimum Qualifications: Education: • Bachelor’s degree required • Master’s degree preferred Experience: • 5 years of experience in K –12 education, higher education, or youth development • Experience in event planning, program coordination, or education- related roles preferred • Experience organizing and leading student -facing programs or events • Experience working in dynamic, high- performing work environments • Experience collaborating across teams and managing multiple priorities Licenses and Certifications: • Current Oklahoma Teacher’s Certificate or the ability to obtain one • Administrator Certificate preferred • A valid driver’s license is required Knowledge , Skills, and Abilities : • Knowledge of postsecondary pathways, including college, career, and workforce options • Knowledge of JROTC programming and military pathways preferred • Familiarity with college and career planning, including financial aid and postsecondary access • Bilingual in Spanish preferred Responsibilities and Essential Functions: The following duties are representative of performance expectations. A reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable a qualified individual with a disability to perform essential functions. • Serves as the district lead and liaison for JROTC programs, ensuring alignment with district priorities and JROTC program expectations • Partners with lead JROTC instructors to strengthen program quality, including the incorporation of strong instructional practices and student engagement strategies • Drives efforts to increase student awareness, enrollment, and retention in JROTC programs • Monitors program implementation and collaborates with school leaders and instructors to ensure programs are meeting required standards and expectations • Coordinates military -related events, including recruiter visits, enlistment ceremonies, and service academy information sessions • Builds and maintains partnerships with military representatives to expand student access to military opportunities • Drives outreach to students and families to promote military pathways and JROTC program participation • Leads the design and coordination of districtwide engagement experiences including college and career expos, financial aid support nights, signing days, and student and teacher recognition events • Oversees logistics, including scheduling, transportation, materials, and event setup • Collaborates with school leaders, counselors, and college and career advisors to ensure strong student participation • Develops and implements communication plans to promote events to students, families, and staff • Leads analysis of participation and outcome data to drive continuous improvement and increased student access • Aligns events and experiences to district initiatives, including Career Academies • Develops and refines systems that support student transition to college, career, or military pathways • Oversees district -led graduation- related initiatives, including senior bootcamps, ceremonies, and compliance with graduation requirements • Leads implementation of department -wide initiatives and special projects as needed • Engages in professional development • Collaborates with team members to improve systems and student outcomes • Participates in activities, meetings, and planning groups that contribute to the effective operation of the district • Assists in maintaining a safe and organized environment • Displays the ability to work collaboratively with others on a team • Performs other tasks, duties, or services consistent with this position as assigned Customer Contacts: ● Internal : TPS District Employees ● External : Military representatives, postsecondary partners, families, students, and community and industry partners Supervisory Responsibility: • This role does not directly supervise any individuals Working and Physical Conditions: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this position.
