The focus of this position is on patient infusion scheduling with cross coverage as a Medical Assistant. When performing the Medical Assistant role, under direct supervision, assist RN and LPN with patient care duties and general care of patients receiving treatment. Help facilitate and maintain efficient patient flow, assist RN and/or LPN with patient care (i.e., obtaining vital signs, ambulation assistance, patient education, and miscellaneous tasks as assigned by RNs. Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required. At minimum of three (3) or more years’ experience in a hospital or medical clinic setting. Proof of current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) as required by CMS attestation (must be completed within 90 days of hire if not current). OCSRI will assist in CMA if not already certified. Medical Assistant Certification must be kept active/current for employment at OCSRI. Current CPR certification required. Excellent customer service is required.
