Position Summary : To support families and school in building success and support for every
student through consistent daily attendance and high academic expectations. As this is a
federally funded position, it is a violation of federal law for the Parent Involvement Facilitator
to perform any other function (e.g., registrar, clerk, secretary) while being paid with federal
funds .
Minimum Qualifications :
Education :
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 48 hours of approved college credit, an associate degree from an accredited
school or the successful completion of a district approved highly qualified test
Experience:
• Previous experience working with students and families preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Responsibilities and Essential Functions: The following duties are representative of
performance expectations. A reasonable accommodation may be made to enable a qualified

• Access es daily attendance in PowerSchool and Data Dashboard to identify students and
families with high weekly absenteeism and chronic absenteeism
• Contact s families of chronically absent (2 days or more weekly) student families and
deve lops an ongoing relationship to identify problems and strategies needed to eliminate
the barrier of absenteeism
• Assist s with planning and implementation of community events that include parents and
creates a calendar of activities for parents
• Collaborates with the Direc tor of Parent and Family Engagement
• Serve s as a connection between the home and the school
• Facilitate s and implement s parent involvement programs , events, workshops, and
training routinely as directed by school leader.
• Manage, organize and upload Title I parent and family engagement compliance
documents
• Assists in planning quarterly workshops (Literacy/Math night)
• Collaborate with school teams, parent committees and community organizations to
effectively engage and suppor t families with various n eeds e.g., Immigrant student
support services, Exceptional student services, E nglish language development, Indian
education, Homeless team, etc.
• Inform s parents of student related activities
• Assist s with data collection and project evaluation
• Attend s and facilitate s workshops and other functions related to parent involvement
activities
• Share s all important school -related issues with parents
• Assist s the school with disseminating and receiving important school documents from
parents /guardians
• Encourage s parents to become more involved in school activities by joining PCAC
(Parent Community Advisory Council) and PTO or PTA
• Connect s families to community resources
• Contribute s to creating warm and welcoming school environments
• Serves on school planning committees
• Prepar es refreshments for parents’ activities
• Solicit s parent volunteers for field trips, meetings and other special events
• Chaperone s student excursions
• Collaborate s with parents/guardians and school staff on updating, creating and
reviewing required Title I parent and family engagement compliance docu ments.
• Participate s in professional development training and meetings provided by school or
district, staff, leadership team, etc.
• Perform s other tasks, duties, or services consistent with this position as assigned

staff and other members of the community

• Familiarity with college admissions and financial aid procedures
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete tasks efficiently
• Ability to oscillate between independent and collaborative work with ease
• Ability to manage up and down and create buy -in from people with diverse perspectives
and backgrounds for new ideas and approaches
• Ability to engage and communicate with multilingual families using language assistance
tools
• Possess knowledge of office equipment such as copiers, computers , chrome
books /laptops
• Demonstrates skill and ability in using Google Documents and various software
platforms used by the District
• Open to change and applies critical thinking while developing solutions based on new
guidelines, methods, and techniques
• Understand and respect the diversity of families’ economic, linguistic and cultural
backgrounds

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• This role does not directly supervise any individuals
Working Conditions: Exposure to the following situations may range from rare to frequent
based on circumstances and factors that may not be predictable.

• Occasional to frequent travel to district and non-district sites
