Also, we love to have fun! Position Summary : To assist the principal in daily administrative work. Minimum Qualifications: Education: • High School diploma or equivalent Experience: • Two (2) years’ a dministrative experience Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.: • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite • Bilingual in Spanish preferred Responsibilities and Essential Functions: The following duties are representative of performance expectations. A reasonable accommodation may be made to enable a qualified individual with a disability to perform essential functions. • Composes, types, and prints correspondence from principal • Creates, prints, and distributes bulletins, memos, and newsletters • Answers questions from parents, teachers , and students • Answer s principal’s telephone as well as the school office telephone; answer s questions, takes messages or transfer s calls as necessary • Order s supplies for the site as requested • Accept s and deposit s funds for lunches, school supplies and student activities • Disburse s funds, record s financial transactions, audit s and balance s school -fund accounts • Maintain s school event calendar • Compiles and files student grades and attendance reports • Perform s other tasks, duties, or services consistent with this position as assigned by the principal Skills and Abilities Required: The following characteristics and physical skills are important for the successful performance of assigned duties. • Good communication and organizational skills • Considerable knowledge of business office management, grammar, spelling, and business correspondence • Computer skills including operation s, graphics, charts, spreadsheets, complex word processing , and templates • Ability to exercise independent judgment in all aspects of the position and to deal with changing priorities • Ability to deal effectively and courteously with members of the community and school system • Manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in stressful situations • Extensive oral and written communication skills necessary • Ability to oscillate between independent and collaborative work with ease Customer Contacts: • Internal: TPS District Employees • External: Students, parents, community members, partnered vendors Supervisory Responsibilities: • This role does not directly supervise any individuals Working Conditions: Exposure to the following situations may range from remote to frequent based on circumstances and factors that may not be predictable. • Physical requirements consistent with an office setting Tulsa Public Schools is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team of individuals who contribute to the district's mission with their talents, skills, and energy.
